Custody Visits to Police Stations - January to June, 2002

Report of the Convenor of the North Panel

1. Introduction

1.1. Panel Members continued to work efficiently during the six month period and the more recent recruits are now a valuable part of the team. Several panel members have been out of action for periods of time during the six months, but others have willingly undertaken their visits. It is noted that there are greater numbers of asylum seekers than has previously been the case.
