Members Attending Conferences and Meetings of Outside Bodies

Report of the Clerk

The approval of the Authority is requested for the attendance of the following Members at conference and meetings of outside bodies:-

(a) The Association of Police Authorities (APA) Framework for Oversight of Police and HR Plans - 19 July, 2002

To approve the attendance of Mrs. R. Atkinson, Mr. R. Gully, and Mr. M. King JP at the APA Conference "Framework for Oversight of Police and HR Plans held in London on 19 July, 2002.

(b) The Hampshire Strategic Partnership - 10 September, 2002

To approve the attendance of Mr. R.J. Gully at a meeting on the Hampshire Strategic Partnership held at Sparsholt College, Winchester on 10 September, 2002.

(c) British Association of Women Police Professional Development Day - 7/8 October, 2002

To approve the attendance of Mrs. C. Barratt at the British Association of Women Police Professional Development Day to be held in Chester on 7 and 8 October, 2002.

(d) APA Annual Conference 2002 - 20/21 November, 2002

To approve the attendance of Mrs. R. Atkinson, Councillor D. Gillett, Councillor S.A. Hayes, Councillor P. Heath, Mr. G.M. King JP, Mr. R. Palmer, and the Clerk at the APA Annual Conference to be held in Harrogate on 20 and 21 November, 2002.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the attendance of Members at the events indicated in the report be approved.
