RECOMMENDATION:

That, by virtue of paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following items.

6. NATIONAL PAY UPDATE (Report to follow)

To consider the confidential report of the County Personnel and Training Officer which identifies the main elements of the national pay award, including the terms of reference for the proposed Commission on Pay.

7. PERFORMANCE TARGETS (Report to follow)

To consider the confidential report of the County Personnel and Training Officer on performance targets. There will also be a detailed presentation from consultants at the meeting.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this committee/sub-committee/panel or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
