Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That the Executive Member for Education to agree that the Executive Member for Policy and Resources be advised that the Executive Member for Education supports the project appraisal for the construction of additional teaching accommodation at Bridgemary Community School at an estimated cost of £736,000, excluding fees.

The Executive Member for Policy and Resources to decide that the project appraisal for the construction of additional teaching accommodation at Bridgemary Community School at an estimated cost of £736,000, excluding fees, be approved.

Reason

2.1

To provide an additional 100 Basic Need places in purpose built accommodation to meet the future rise in pupils attending the school.

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
