1. Summary
1.1 The new Borough Local Plan includes proposals which implement the Hampshire County Structure Plan (Review) requirement for a Major Development Area (MDA) at Andover.
1.2 An integral part of the MDA is the comprehensive range of transport proposals which have been jointly agreed between the County and Borough Councils. The package has been developed following a significant amount of work, including a survey of travel patterns of households in Andover and the modelling of those patterns (reported to a previous meeting of the Andover Transportation Strategy Members' Panel).
1.3 Subject to public consultation on the Local Plan, more detailed work on the feasibility and implementation of the proposals is to be undertaken, which will inform the public debate and form the framework for any future discussions with developers.
