A meeting of the Strategic Planning Joint Advisory Panel will take place on Tuesday 12 November 2002 at 10.00am in the Council Chamber, Southampton City Council Civic Offices, when your attendance is requested.

Car parking is available in public car parks in the vicinity of the offices - please see attached plan. Refreshments will be served from 9.30am.

City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development
and Sustainability detailing the progress and issues in respect of District and
Borough Local Plans by way of position statements appended to the report.

6. STRATEGIC TRANSPORT IN SOUTH HAMPSHIRE
(Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Hampshire Director of Environment, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Director of Development and Sustainability bringing to the Panel's attention the proposal to seek an integrated management approach to strategic decisions on transport in South Hampshire.

7. HAMPSHIRE LOW HOUSE COMPLETIONS STUDY
(to follow)

To consider a report of the Hampshire Director of Environment, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability informing the Panel of conclusions arising from a study into the reasons for a fall in housing completions within the Structure Plan area in recent years.

8. CURRENT STRUCTURE PLAN PROJECTS (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Hampshire Director of Environment, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability providing a brief on Structure Plan related projects not covered in other reports on the agenda.

9. DATE, TIME AND VENUE FOR NEXT MEETING OF THE PANEL

To consider the proposed date and time for the next meeting of the Panel on Wednesday 12 March 2003 at 10.00am, venue to be confirmed.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this panel or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
