HART DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN: POSITION STATEMENT

Adopted Local Plan

The current Local Plan was adopted in 1993 but is about to be replaced. Full Council on 31 October is expected to resolve to adopt the new `Hart District Local Plan (Replacement) 1996 to 2006' without further modification.

Review/Replacement Local Plan

There is currently no adopted timetable for reviewing/rolling forward the Local Plan but the Council's Community & Environment Policy Review Panel will address the issue in November.

The Local Plan, which is about to be adopted, makes no provision for reserve housing sites to meet the Structure Plan reserve housing requirement of 1,500 dwellings in Hart District. It does include a reserve site to secure robustness in the baseline provision.
