To appoint Councillor J. K. West to attend the meeting of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Flood Defence Committee on 7 January 2003 as deputy for Councillor Felicity Hindson, and to appoint such other deputies to attend the meeting as may be required.

2. Reason(s):

Councillor Felicity Hindson is unable to attend on this occasion. Budget issues are to be discussed by the Flood Defence Committee and the County Council should be fully represented.
