1 Summary of Request
1.1 Naomi House is the children's hospice in central Southern England situated at Sutton Scotney near Winchester. It provides both respite and palliative care for children suffering life-limiting conditions from across the South. In a home-from-home environment essential care and support are provided for the entire family at no cost to them for as long is necessary including bereavement support.
1.2 The Hospice are requesting a contribution from the County Council towards their running costs for the year.
2 Comments
2.1 Since its opening in 1997, the Hospice has continued to have a significant impact on children and their carers.
RECOMMENDATION:
That a contribution of £5,000 be awarded towards the running costs of Naomi House Children's Hospice in Sutton Scotney, Winchester
