AT A MEETING of an APPOINTMENT PANEL OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL held at The Castle, Winchester on Tuesday 1 April 2003

1. APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

RESOLVED:

That Councillor T. K. Thornber, CBE, be appointed Chairman of the Meeting.

2. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

RESOLVED:

That, by virtue of Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12a of the Local

Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the remainder of

the meeting.

3. APPOINTMENT OF ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION

The Panel considered applications for the post of Assistant Director of

Education pursuant to Standing Order 41. Ann Begley and Chris Holt were

interviewed.

RESOLVED:

That the Cabinet be advised that the Panel is minded to make the following

offer:-
