1. Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
That the revised Transport Strategy for Western Hampshire, attached as an appendix, be approved.
2. Reason
2.1 To provide a Strategy for Western Hampshire which will form the basis for delivery of a programme of transport enhancements for the area.
3. Other Options Considered and Rejected
3.1 Not to develop a strategy for Western Hampshire. However, this would not have given an opportunity to provide a structural context for delivering the capital programme and meeting the Local Transport Plan objectives for this area.
4. Conflicts of Interest Declared by the Decision Maker or a Member or Officer consulted - None.
5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee - Not applicable.
6. Reason(s) for the Matter being dealt with if Urgent - Not applicable.
