1. Summary
1.1. This report examines the position with regard to grants awarded from the Policy and Resources grants budget but not yet taken up.
2. Introduction
2.1. Over the years many grants have been awarded to voluntary organisations and other bodies from the Policy and Resources grants budget. However, in a number of cases the offers of grant have yet to be taken up, and in the current climate of close financial stringency, and in the interests of equitability, it has been considered timely to review the position. The attached appendix provides details of the grants falling into this category up to end of the calendar year 2001. Each organisation has been approached and the responses are shown in the appendix where these are available.
RECOMMENDATION:
That action with regard to outstanding grants be taken in accordance with the attached appendix.
