1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

    That approval be given for the Harbour Authority to continue with the proposed Dredging Plan preparation and for the appropriate budget allocation of £12,130 to be made by the Harbour Authority as its contribution to the overall cost.

2. Reason

2.1 To produce a Dredging Plan for the river as a whole would enable better use of resources and manage the dredging activities in a more environmentally sustainable manner.

3. Other Options Considered and Rejected

3.1 Not to produce an overarching Dredging Plan for the river as a whole with the administrative and cost consequences of dealing with this incrementally.

4. Conflicts of Interest Declared by the Decision Maker or a Member or Officer consulted - None.

5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee - Not applicable.
