Approval of the Adult Learning Plan: August 2003 to July 2004

1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the attached Adult Learning Plan be presented to the County Council for approval and submitted to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Learning and Skills Council for funding in 2003/2004.

1.2 The Adult Learning Plan consists of four sections required by the Learning and Skills Council:

· Review of the 2002/2003 Adult Learning Plan, informing a -

· Business Plan for August 2003 to July 2004


· Self-Assessment Report on performance in 2001/2002, informing a -

· Quality Improvement Plan for 2003/2004

2. Reason

2.1 The Adult Learning Plan is required by the Learning and Skills Council in order to secure funding for the County Council's adult and community learning provision.

2.2 The Adult Learning Plan for 2003/2004 further develops the strategies described in the 2002/2003 Adult Learning Plan which is currently being implemented.
