GLENWOOD SCHOOL, EMSWORTH - ENLARGEMENT

1. Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 31(1) (b) of the School

    Standards and Framework Act 1998, that Hampshire County Council, being the Local Education Authority, intends to make a prescribed alteration to Glenwood School, Washington Road, Emsworth, by increasing the number of pupils for whom the school makes provision to a total of 101 boys and girls, with effect from 1 September 2003.

2. The school is currently recognised to cater for 85 boys and girls aged 11 to 16 with Moderate Learning Difficulties and had 91 pupils on roll at the start of the Autumn Term 2002.

4. Any person may object to these proposals. Objections should be in writing and addressed to The Chief Executive (reference "HW"), Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, Hampshire SO23 8UJ, to arrive no later than two months after the date of publication of this notice. Any objections received, and not subsequently withdrawn in writing, will be submitted by the local education authority to the School Organisation Committee for Hampshire within one month of the closing date for objections.
