Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Education advises the Executive Member for Policy and Resources that approval be given to the project appraisal for a two class extension and four class extension respectively at Hatch Warren Infant and Junior Schools at an estimated cost of up to £1.86m, excluding fees, to be funded initially for the School Balances Loan Scheme and to be repaid subsequently from anticipated capital receipts.

Reason

2.1

To provide additional classroom accommodation to facilitate the removal of temporary classrooms from site.

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
