THE EAST HAMPSHIRE CONSORTIUM COMMUNITY RESOURCES PROJECT - RECONNECTION TO THE HAMPSHIRE PUBLIC SERVICES NETWORK.

1. Members will recall that earlier this year, they were advised of the establishment of the East Hampshire Consortium Community Resources Project, the objectives of which were, inter-alia, to provide information, advice, access to information and communications technology, equipment and community services for local groups.

2. The Executive Member has approved the provision of a maximum of £36,000 to support reconnection to the Hampshire Public Services Network for the members of the Consortium. The network provides direct links to Hantsweb and the full range of County information services, direct links to local statutory services at District and County level and those dedicated to voluntary and community sector information and resources for training, learning and information. This disconnection from the network had originally occurred because the nine organisations in the consortium could not support the costs of a connection from their own budget.
