Summary |

1.1 |
The following decisions are sought, subject to an acceptable and fully funded heritage based use of the Mill not being received within two months from the 25 July 2003: |

i) |
That authority be given for the disposal of Chesapeake Mill on a long leasehold basis to Taylor Haimes Ltd subject to planning permission and Listed Building consent for the proposed use and works to the property. |
|
|
|
|
ii) |
The Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services (Head of Estates Practice) be authorised to settle the detailed terms and conditions of the new lease including such adjustment to the purchase price that may be agreed following minor amendments and/or planning requirements |

Reasons |

2.1 |
Since the acquisition of this property the County Council has been seeking a new occupier or occupiers of the property to bring it back into life and achieve the necessary structural repairs whilst maintaining the essential historical identity of the property and achieving a degree of public access. |
