That the Executive Member for Education advises the Executive Member for Policy and Resources that the project appraisal for the construction of a new nursery extension and a new music room extension at Lee on Solent Infant School at a estimated cost of up to £293,000, excluding fees, and extensions to the reception and administrative facilities, library and classroom at Lee on Solent Junior School, at an estimated cost of up to £259,000, excluding fees, be approved. |

The need of the schools for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need. The proposed extensions to the Junior School are the final phase of the School's planned growth, bringing its capacity up to a 3 Form Entry. |
