That the project appraisal for the construction of a classroom extension and internal alterations at Long Sutton Primary School at an estimated cost of up to £438,000, excluding fees, be approved. |

2.1 |
As part of the Education Department's Modernisation Programme, the scheme provides two new teaching areas, a new tutorial room and an extension to an existing teaching area plus internal alterations to provide improved library/resource facilities, staff accommodation and reception/office spaces. |

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need. |
