The following decision is sought: |

That the Executive Member for Education advises the Executive Member for Policy and Resources that the project appraisal for the construction of a new learner pool at Wildern Secondary School at an estimated cost of up to £676,000, excluding fees, be approved. |

Reason |

2.1 |
It is proposed to construct a new learner pool at the school as a second phase of the new sports development facilities due to commence on site this autumn, thus extending and enhancing the current sports facilities. |
|

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need. |
