That the project appraisal for the construction of a four classroom extension at Hiltingbury Junior School at an estimated cost of up to £426,000, excluding fees, be approved. |

|
2.1 |
As part of the Education Department's Modernisation Programme, the scheme provides a permanent four classroom extension consisting of two general teaching classrooms, IT suite and a Language Unit, to replace one of the temporary classrooms currently on site. |

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need. |
