That authority be given to grant a 10-year Farm Business Tenancy for the County Council's agricultural land at Silchester, extending to approximately 55 hectares (136.1 acres), as set out in the report, and for the detailed terms and conditions to be agreed by the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services (Head of Estates Practice). |

Reasons |

2.1 |
The current tenant has an agricultural tenancy with security of tenure for his lifetime. He and his sons have farmed the land in a manner which has respected the historic importance and sensitivity of the land which lies within the site. |

Given the sensitivities of the site it is not proposed that the agricultural land be offered on the open market. |
