Summary |

1.1 |
The following decisions are sought: |
|
|
|
|
i) |
support be given, in principle, to the aspirations of the Beneficial Foundation for their continued long-term occupation of Leigh Park Nurseries and that negotiations continue with the Charity in order to find a workable solution which meets these aspirations, including the opportunities for phased refurbishment of the Nurseries; |
|
|
|
|
ii) |
the options available in relation to the horticultural unit operated by Havant Day Services be assessed in detail; |
|
|
|
|
iii) |
officers work with the Beneficial Foundation to resolve the immediate health and safety issues at the premises; and |
|
|
|
|
iv) |
a further report be made to the Executive Member on the outcome of the negotiations. |

2.1 |
Supporting the aspirations of the Beneficial Foundation and working with the organisation in partnership will enable improved facilities to be provided for its clients and those of Havant Day Services, and lead to benefits for the wider community. |
