    To consider a report of the Director of Environment updating Members on the progress of transport schemes within the Capital Programme that have been approved by project appraisal for implementation in the Eastleigh area.

6. HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE AND MINOR CAPITAL WORKS PROGRAMMES 2003/04 (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on the Highway Maintenance and Minor Capital Works programmes for 2003/04 and an update on the Highway Maintenance budget for 2003/04.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on other programmes and initiatives within the Environment Department.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment on the review of the Highways Development Control Service an update on other District Agency arrangements.

10. STREET LIGHTING (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on Street Lighting Maintenance, Column Replacement, Community Safety Initiative and the purchase of energy from April 2004 onwards, in the Eastleigh area.

11. CONTROL OF RAGWORT (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining problems associated with common Ragwort and measures taken to control the weed within the confines of the public highway in Hampshire.

12. THE CONSTRUCTION OF VEHICULAR CROSSINGS FOR PRIVATE ACCESSES (Report herewith)


    To consider a report of the Director of Environment detailing changes to the procedure for dealing with the construction of vehicular crossings for private accesses.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this panel or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
