    To consider a report of the Director of Environment on the review of the Highways Development Control Service and update on other District Agency arrangements.

6. TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PROGRAMMES 2003/04 (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment on the main programmes of traffic management work in the East Hampshire area for 2003/04.

7. HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE AND MINOR CAPITAL WORKS PROGRAMMES 2003/04 (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on the Highway Maintenance and Minor Capital Works programmes for 2003/04 and an update on Highway Maintenance budget for 2003/04.

8. UPDATE ON THE PROGRESS OF APPROVED TRANSPORT CAPITAL PROGRAMME SCHEMES (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment on progress made on transport schemes within the Capital Programme that have been approved by project appraisal for implementation within the East Hampshire area.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on other programmes and initiatives within the Environment Department.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on Street Lighting Maintenance, Column Replacement, Community Safety Initiative and purchase of energy from April 2004 onwards.

11. WEED CONTROL IN HAMPSHIRE (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment on the operation of weed control arrangements on Hampshire highways and ways to improve the weed killing service.

12. CONTROL OF RAGWORT (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining the problems associated with common ragwort and the measures taken to control the weed within the confines of the public highway within Hampshire.

13. THE CONSTRUCTION OF VEHICULAR CROSSING FOR PRIVATE ACCESSES (Report herewith)

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment detailing changes to the procedure for dealing with the construction of vehicular accesses by Hampshire Highways or an approved private contractor.

14. DATES, TIMES AND VENUES FOR NEXT MEETINGS OF THE PANEL IN 2004

    The meetings of the Panel for 2004 as follows: Tuesday, 16 March 2004 and Thursday, 28 October 2004. Both meetings to be held at the Civic Offices, East Hampshire District Council, to commence at 10.00 a.m.
