5. COUNTY YOUTH OFFICER'S REPORT (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer detailing recent developments in the Hampshire County Youth Service and updating Members on the current issues including Young people involved in summer activities; Hampshire County Youth Council initiatives, Connexions developments and Information, advice and youth counselling review.

6. QUALITY ASSURANCE (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer informing Members about the current quality assurance procedures and introducing a quality assurance policy and procedures framework for the Hampshire County Youth Service. It also draws attention to the targets and performance indicators included in the measuring performance section of Hampshire's current youth work plan and indicates current progress in relation to the targets and the performance indicators.

7. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT GRANTS 2003/04 (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer summarising project development grant applications received since the last meeting and recommending to the Executive Member for Education allocations.

To receive the Minutes of the Combined Youth Justice Committee held on Tuesday 1 July 2003.

10. DATES OF MEETINGS 2004

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this panel or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.

Independent Members similarly qualify for payment of travelling expenses.
