Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That approval be given to the project appraisal for Wildern Secondary School at Hedge End, Southampton, at an estimated cost of £676,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To provide a new learner pool as a second phase of the new sports development facilities due to commence on site shortly, thus extending and enhancing the current sports facilities.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
