1.1 The following decision is sought:

that the accompanying report, which provides details of the performance of Hampshire schools in 2002 - 2003, be distributed to all headteachers and chairmen of governors.

2 Reason

2.1 The report summarizes strengths and weaknesses within the Hampshire school system and deserves wide circulation, in the interests of further improvement. It also forms part of the annual evaluation of the Education Development Plan, which is a statutory requirement.
