Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Education advises the Executive Member for Policy and Resources that the project appraisal for new music/drama facilities and extended dining facilities at an estimated cost of up to £1,238,000, excluding fees, be approved.

Reason

2.1

To provide a new music/drama facility for use by the school and the local community, and to extend the dining facilities at Priestlands School.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need of the school and local community for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
