Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the design project appraisal for the refurbishment of existing internal areas and a new extension to provide two seminar spaces to accommodate class sizes of approximately 16 students in each at Frogmore Community College, at an estimated cost of up to £648,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To provide two specialist CACHE Diploma in Childcare seminar spaces and two Sixth Form Seminar rooms plus associated refurbishment works.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need of the school and local community for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
