Summary

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the design project appraisal for two new classrooms, a staff room and a group room, at an estimated cost of up to £522,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To provide two classrooms, a staff room and a group room, thus facilitating the removal of a temporary building in very poor condition and enable other improvements to the school at the same time.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need of the school and local community for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
