Summary

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the design project appraisal for a new Language Block and internal remodelling works at an estimated cost of up to £600,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To provide a new Language Block, and remodelling of two existing general classrooms in the Main Block to provide a new science laboratory

3.1

The need of the school and local community for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
