5. FIREFIGHTERS PAY AWARD AND ASSOCIATED TRANSITION FROM RANK TO ROLE (Report herewith)

To receive a presentation and to consider the report of the Chief Fire Officer appraising Members of the latest position in relation to the settlement of the Firefighters' pay award and the associated modernisation programme.

6. ESTABLISHMENT (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Chief Fire Officer detailing the establishment position as at 1 December 2003.

7. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

RECOMMENDATION:

That, by virtue of paragraphs 1 and 11 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item.

8. SENIOR DIVISIONAL OFFICERS PAYMENT - CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE (CONFIDENTIAL) (Report herewith)

To consider the confidential report of the Chief Fire Officer.

County Councillors attending as appointed Members of this Committee/Sub-Committee/Panel or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
