1 Summary
The following decisions are sought.
That authority be given to the Director of Social Services to negotiate single tenders for the provision of domiciliary care services in the Fareham/Gosport area.
2 Reasons
2.1 The proposal represents the most economically viable arrangement for the County Council and will provide continuity of service for vulnerable people and their carers.
2.2 Links to Corporate Strategy
Social Care Commissioning is fundamental to achieving the aims of `Maximising Life Opportunities'. The focus on quality and cost contributes to `Improving Services' and the partnership approach with local care providers assists with `Achieving Economic Prosperity'.
