1 Summary

The following decision was taken:

That the Cabinet endorses the new Corporate Health & Safety Strategy and the revised Corporate Health & Safety Policy, and notes that future health and safety requirements carry potentially significant resource implications, and requests a further report on targets and goals in six months' time.

2 Reasons

This decision supports Aims 5. (Improving Services) and 6. (Developing Councillors and staff) by reducing sickness absence and service interruption caused by incidents and by improving the health and safety competency of people and the management arrangements at all levels in the Council.

Not to revise the Health & Safety Strategy or Policy.
