1. The Executive Member for Policy and Resources is putting forward to the County Council proposed changes to the role, function and terms of reference for the Buildings, Land and Contracts Panel:

(i) That the terms of reference for the Panel be amended to include a new "(j) the development of the Corporate Procurement Strategy, the management arrangements for the implementation of the strategy, and to provide an overview of all the County Council's procurement activities including the development of e-procurement and e-tendering initiatives"


(ii) That in view of (i) above, the Panel be re-named the Buildings, Land and Procurement Panel.


The aim is to facilitate work on the Corporate Procurement Strategy and to enable the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services to report thereon to the Panel.

2. The endorsement of the Standards Committee is required to the following change in Part 1: Chapter 10 of the Constitution under the heading "other advisory panels". A recommendation is set out below.
