Statutory Responsibilities - Form S3 Audit

    · All pupils receive full statutory curriculum

    · RE for all in accord with agreed syllabus . Parents informed of right to withdraw

    · Daily act of collective worship for all pupils. Parents informed of right to withdraw

    · Primary - GB decision on sex and relationships education taken. If to be delivered GB agreed content and organisation of it. Told parents and informed of right to withdraw.

    · Secondary - GB agreed content and organisation of sex and relationships education. Told parents and informed of right to withdraw.

    · GB ensures that pupils, job applicants and staff not subject to discrimination on grounds of sex, race, disability or marital status.

    · GB has agreed written policy on race equality, monitors its implementation, assesses its impact and communicates the results to parents and the GB.

    · School meets requirements of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 and the CRE Code of Practice

    · School has regard to SEN Code of Practice and makes its policy known to parents

    · School meets requirements of Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001. Told parents about policy and arrangements and reports annually on the success of its SEN Policy and progress made in improving accessibility

    · GB has procedures for ensuring school meets all relevant health and safety legislation

    · School procedures for child protection follow requirements of local Area Child Protection Committee and the GB ensures they are followed

    · GB ensures all statutory assessments are conducted and results forwarded to parents and appropriate bodies

    · GB ensures each year a report on each pupil's educational achievements is sent to parents

    · School Prospectus and GB Annual Report published

    · Responsibilities of GB committees, headteacher and staff in respect of finance are clearly defined and limits of delegated authority clear

    · GB has Performance Management Policy and ensures all teachers and headteacher are appraised in accordance with statutory requirements

    · GB has all relevant complaints and appeals procedures as set out in Guide to the Law
