To consider the report of the Chief Fire Officer setting out a training strategy to ensure the training and development of staff is compliant with the principles of IPDS.

To consider the report of the Chief Fire Officer detailing progress made in relation to the report produced by the then District Audit in July, 2003 entitled Sickness Attendance Management.

To consider the report of the Chief Fire Officer detailing the approach taken to provide a modern Human Resource (HR) service to meet the demands of the modernisation programme.

RECOMMENDATION:

That, by virtue of Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business.
