1. Summary

1.1 The Standing Advisory Conferences for Southampton and Portsmouth have agreed a joint meeting with the Advisory Conference for Hampshire towards the end of the academic year. This would be for consideration of the final draft and formal adoption of the revised Agreed Syllabus. The date agreed is 29 March 2004 (afternoon only) at Council Chambers, The Castle, Winchester.

1.2 Graham Langtree, of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, who is leading the writing of the non-statutory Framework for RE, attend the meeting and inform the joint SACREs of the progress made toward the Framework.

Recommendation

That the Standing Advisory Conference note the date of the joint meeting of the three conferences.
