1. Summary

1.1 The RE team has developed a CD Rom with the support of Julius Klein of the Portsmouth Hebrew Congregation, for use in Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton primary schools. The CD Rom shows important features of the synagogue. A comprehensive booklet has been produced to accompany the CD Rom, providing background information and suggested activities for the classroom.

1.2 The CD Rom and booklet are currently being trialed in two primary schools and will be made available for schools to purchase from January 2004.

1.3 This project has been funded by a Hampshire project to disseminate effective practice using information and communication technology in primary schools.
