Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

1. That the contract to provide temporary workers be awarded to Manpower UK Limited for an initial period of three years commencing 1^st February 2004.

2. That where serious concerns exist for the security of provision for specific groups of temporary workers, the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services be authorised to conclude separate contract arrangements to meet short-term needs.

This decision supports Aim 5 of the Corporate Strategy - improving services and the management of resources through the introduction of a formalised contract for the provision of temporary workers.
