STANDARDS COMMITTEE

PART I

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION

1. The Executive Member for Policy and Resources is putting forward to the County Council proposed changes to the role, function and terms of reference for the Buildings, Land and Contracts Panel:

(i) That the terms of reference for the Panel be amended to include a new (j) the development of the Corporate Procurement Strategy, the management arrangements for the implementation of the strategy, and to provide an overview of all the County Council's procurement activities including the development of e-procurement e-tendering initiatives.


(ii) That in view of (i) above, the Panel be renamed the Buildings, Land and Procurement Panel.

2. The formal approval of the Standards Committee is required to make the necessary change of name in the Constitution. A recommendation is set out below.

That Part I, Chapter 10, Section "Other Advisory Panels" be amended as follows:
