A meeting of the Strategic Planning Joint Advisory Panel will take place on Wednesday 10 March 2004 at 10.00am in The Council Chamber, The Castle, Winchester when your attendance is requested.

Car parking has been arranged in the top deck car park - a map is attached for information. Please report to Room 100, Chief Executive's Reception, Elizabeth II Court upon arrival. You will be issued with a visitor's pass and directed to the meeting room. Refreshments will be served from 9.30am.

To consider a report of the Hampshire Director of Environment, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability informing the Panel of the conclusions arising from the Hampshire Country Structure Plan Policy H4 Monitoring Paper 2004 and the outcome of consultation.

6. POLICY H4 MONITORING PAPER 2004 - CONSULTATION RESPONSE FROM THE GOVERNMENT OFFICE FOR THE SOUTH EAST (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Hampshire Director of Environment, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability outlining the views of the Government Office for the South East on the Policy H4 Monitoring Paper and whether, in the light of all the responses received, the reserve housing supply should be released.

7. REGIONAL AND SUB-REGIONAL SPATIAL STRATEGIES - PROGRESS REPORT (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Hampshire Director of Environment, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability outlining the new framework of regional and sub-regional spatial strategies which, it is proposed, will replace Regional Planning Guidance and Structure Plans.

8. PLANNING FUTURE HOUSING PROVISION TO 2026 (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Hampshire Director of Environment, City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability seeking to initiate a debate on future housing provision in Hampshire.

9. DATE, TIME AND VENUE FOR NEXT MEETING OF THE PANEL

To confirm the arrangements for the next meeting of the Panel as follows:-

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this panel or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
