Grants to Voluntary Organisations

1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That it be a condition of a grant or other support that the organisation acknowledges the
County Council's support on its publicity material, which means that their posters,

leaflets and other publications should carry the mini-logo and the words "supported by:
Hampshire County Council".

2. Reason

Items 13, 14 and 15 on this agenda all relate to grants to various outside organisations,
and it should be made clear to all recipients that they should reflect the County Council's

contribution in this way. The decision to reassert this condition supports Aim 4 of the

Corporate Strategy - Building Strong and safe communities.

3. Other options considered and rejected - not to take any action. In this event some

organisations might decline to acknowledge the County Council's support and this might
ultimately lead to their grant aid being withdrawn.

4. Conflicts of interest declared by the decision maker or a member or officer
consulted - none.

5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee - not applicable.

6. Reasons for the matter being dealt with if urgent - not applicable.
