1. Summary
1.1 The following decisions are sought:
(i) That the Grant Allocations as summarised below, totalling £129,250 be approved:

(ii) That the balance of £66,350 be added to the Project Development Grants for further allocation by the Panel.
(iii) That supporting the Voluntary Sector Youth Organisations through the Annual Revenue Grants supports Corporate Strategy Aim 1, Maximising Life Opportunities as well as contributing to the Cabinet priority for Youth.
2. Reasons
2.1 The Youth Panel at its meeting on 18 March 2004 advised the Executive Member for Education to approve grant allocations totalling £129,250 and that the balance of the annual revenue grants be added to the Project Development Grants for further allocation by the Panel.
3. Other Options Considered and Rejected: Not to make these grants. However, it is considered that making these grants constitutes an effective use of resources considering the benefits that they will bring.
