1. Summary
1.1 The following decisions are sought:
(i) That the grant allocations as set out below totalling £17,875 be
approved.

(ii) That the Grants support Aim 1 of the Corporate Strategy, Maximising life opportunities and Corporate Strategy Aim 4 , Building Strong and safe communities, as well as contributing to the Cabinet priority for Youth.
2.. Reasons
2.1 The Youth Panel at its meeting on 18 March 2004 advised the Executive Member for Education to approve grant allocations totalling £17,875.
3. Other Options Considered and Rejected: Not to make these grants. However, it is considered that making these grants constitutes an effective use of resources considering the benefits that they will bring.
