6. UPDATE ON THE PROGRESS OF APPROVED TRANSPORT CAPITAL PROGRAMME SCHEMES (Report herewith)

    To consider the report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on transport schemes within the 2003/04 and 2004/05 Capital Programme that have been approved for implementation in the Eastleigh area.

7. ALLOCATION OF THE HIGHWAY STRUCTURAL MAINTENANCE BUDGET AND ASSESSMENT OF HIGHWAY CONDITION

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining the process for allocating the highway structural maintenance budget and summarising the indicators used for assessing the condition of the network.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining the 2003/04 Highways Maintenance Programme, and the Highways Maintenance Budget and Programmes for 2004/05.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress with the 2003/04 and 2004/05 Capital Minor Works Programme.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment describing the current position of Street Lighting Maintenance, Column Replacement, Community Safety Initiative and the purchase of energy from April 2004 onwards.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment setting out the current traffic management issues in the Eastleigh area.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment detailing progress on the Casualty Reduction Programme, Hampshire Safety Camera partnership and Safer Routes to School.

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment detailing programmes for Regeneration of Older Urban Areas, Intelligent Transport Systems and Bridgeworks in the Eastleigh area.

14. DATE, TIME AND VENUE FOR THE NEXT MEETING OF THE PANEL

    The next meeting of the Panel will be held on Friday 15 October 2004, at 10.00 am, in the Committee Room at Eastleigh Borough Council.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this panel or by virtue of Standing Orders 17.5; or with the concurrence of the chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
