138. THE HEALTH AND ECONOMY OF HAMPSHIRE

    Councillor W. H. Wheeler, Leader of the Labour Group, to present for debate:

    This County Council, recognised as excellent by HM Government, take the following
    measures to help both the health and economy of Hampshire.

    1. Ban smoking in public areas under either the influence or control of this County

Council.

2. Introduce both free fruit and free meals into all Hampshire County Council
schools, starting with the most deprived areas first, and take up any offers of free
milk to our schools made available by the European Union and use this
opportunity to improve the diet and health of our school children.
