Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the project appraisal at Portchester Community School at an estimated cost of up to £599,000, excluding fees.

Reason(s)

2.1

To provide enhanced reception and administration facilities, specialist accommodation and improved accessibility.

2.2

This decision supports Aims 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing improved school facilities and accessibility which will benefit the school and its users.

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
